Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic Cathedral in Jakarta, Indonesia. This tall and beautiful church is situated in Central Jakarta near Merdeka Square, and it is stood right in front of the Istiqlal Mosque. This church was consecrated in 1901 and built in the neo-gothic style, a common architectural style to build churches at that time.

Sunda Kelapa, Jakarta, Indonesia

The old port of Jakarta, Sunda Kelapa is situated at the mouth of the Ciliwung River, of North Jakarta, Indonesia. Along Sunda Kelapa harbour, there are Bugis schooners (Phinisi) in a line. These wooden sailing vessels have unique shape and the body painted in some different colours.

As at now, there is hectic of loading and unloading activities are still conducted daily at Sunda Kelapa. Phinisi ships were coming from many regions of Indonesia, carrying logs and other agricultural products to Jakarta. When at return time, it carries construction materials like steel and cement.

Although it is now only a minor port, but it played a significant role in the city's development. However, the water at port grotesquely polluted these days.

National Monument, Jakarta, Indonesia

The National Monument (known locally as 'Monas') is the best-known landmark in Jakarta. This monument is a 422 ft (128.7 m) tower located in the center of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, and it is the symbol of Indonesian Independence. Its crowning feature is a massive, flame-shaped ornament of solid gold perched at the top of the obelisk. Commissioned by the President Sukarno in the 1961 and the monument was opened to the public in 1975.

Prambanan, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Prambanan is the tenth century Hindu temple located in Central Jave, Indonesia, approximately 17 kilometers from Yogyakarta city. This temple is constructed during the reigns of two kings namely Rakai Pikatan and Rakai Balitung. The foundation of this temple has fulfilled the desire of the founder to show Hindu triumph in Java island. However, the area as now is functions as beautiful park.

Delta Homestay is located at Prawirotaman area, about 20 minutes drive from Adisucipto International Airport. The setting is pretty, Javanese style of rooms are set around a blue pool in a lush tropical garden. Each room has its own private terrace with table and chairs. However, the interiors of the rooms are dull and basic as well as the attached bathroom. The distance to the city center (Malioboro) is a bit further, so you need some form of transport.

Yogyakarta is a 'cultural city' with extraordinary assortment of delicious and inexpensive traditional food. You have the choice of delicacies from the street vendors or restaurants. Street-side vendors are common, in addition to hawkers peddling their goods on bicycles or carts. These carts are known as 'pedagang kaki lima'.

Yogyakarta dishes are renowned for their sweetness. Its traditional dish is Gudeg Yogya and can be purchased just about anywhere and at anytime of the day. Anyway, there is variety of Yogyanese foods available all along Malioboro street, like Soto, Nasi langgi, Es rujak, Bakso, Es dawet and other nibbles. Besides that, every night after the shops close, Lesehan vendors construct their tent-style warungs along the street, where kaki lima cooked food are served on floor mats instead of tables and chairs. The Beringharjo market is also a great place to look for food.

Borobudur, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Borobudur is a buddhist temple, built in the 9th century, and has 1460 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues in its complex. Located north west of Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. This monument is constructed as a ten-terraces building, comprises six square platforms topped by three circular platforms, and the lowest level was used as supporting base. A main dome, located at the center of top platform, is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues seated inside perforated stupa.

Each terrace has beautiful relief panels which consisting of hundreds of wonderfully detailed statues and sculptures, representing Buddhist teachings mixed with images of Javanese life of a thousand years ago. In order to understand the sequence of the stories on the relief panels, you have to walk clockwise from the entrance of the temple.

Entrance fee is about 120,000 Rp.
