A herd of dolphins swimming on a green, lush lawn, found this interesting decors located beside the pool of the grand, spacious and very luxurious hotel. The Empire Hotel of Brunei is one of the most magnificent resorts in South East Asia. It is overlooking the ocean, man-made lagoon, and the golf course.

The Empire Hotel & Country Club is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. It has won many top honours including 'Asia leading Resort' and World's leading Presidential Suite' by World Travel Awards in November 2003.

Billionth Barrel Monument, Belait, Brunei

The Billionth Barrel Monument, this monument stands near the seawall, and about five-minutes drive from the Seria town centre. The approach to the monument is through an arched entrance and a row of trees on either side. It was commissioned by Brunei Shell Petroleum and designed by local architect to commemorate the billionth barrel of oil produced by the Seria oilfield.

Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, Brunei Darussalam

With its two shimmering golden domes and four main intricately ornamented minarels set in a landscape of gardens and fountains, the Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque is arguably the most magnificient mosque in Brunei. The mosque was built in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of His Majesty Sultan's accession over the country. It is also known locally as Kiarong Mosque because of its location.

Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Brunei Darussalam

Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque is constructed on an artificial lagoon near the banks of the Brunei River circulated by a water village (named Kampong Ayer) within the bustle of downtown Bandar. Completed in 1958, the mosque is topped with a gold dome supported by walls of Italian marble, which also forms its columns, arches, and towers. The stained glass was hand made in England and carpets are Saudi Arabian.

Beside the mosque and anchored in a logoon is a replica of a 16th-century mahligai, or royal barge, was at one time used for official state ceremonies. It is an impressive example of modern Islamic architecture.

The Royal Regalia Building, Brunei Darussalam

Situated in the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan, Royal Regalia Building was established to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty's accession to the throne in 1992. The museum is home to a collection of royal regalia, including royal chariot, gold and silver ceremonial armoury, and a replica of the throne used by His Majesty on state occasions.

Kampong Ayer, Brunei

The Water Village (Kampong Ayer in Malay) is situated in the middle of the Brunei River. All of the Water Village buildings are constructed on stilts above the Brunei river. It is really made up of small villages linked together by more than 29,140 meters of foot-bridges, consisting of over 4200 structures including homes, mosques, restaurants, shops, a school, and a hospital. Private water taxis provide rapid transit. Most of these taxis resemble long wooden speed boats. It actually enjoys modern amenities including air conditioning, satellite television, Internet access, plumbing, and electricity. Some of the residents keep potted plants and chickens.
