Viking Cave, Ko Phi Phi Leh, Thailand

Taken with Nikon D60, dated Jul 2009

Viking Cave is the immense cave on Ko Phi Phi Leh named after the pictographs on the wall of the cave which indistinctly resemble to ancient Viking ships. This cave was renamed by King Rama IX to Tham Phaya Nak when he visited it in 1972, which resembles in shape the head of a great serpent of Buddhist legend. Now the cave is used to collect swallow nests to use for bird's nest soup, a Chinese delicacy. The cave is a spectacular scene created by the nature itself.
