Koh Mai Phai, also known as Bamboo Island, is a flat evergreen island with white powdery beach and beautiful crystal clear water. It is 5 km from the northern tip of Phi Phi Don. However, there are no bamboo plants growing here. Apparently there was some mix up in a translation.

Many day trips go to Bamboo Island each day for swimming and snorkeling but it is not too crowded at all. And the beach is always there for a rest.
