The Sheepdog statue, standing pround atop a rock, on the lakeshore of Lake Tekapo in Canterbury on the South Island of New Zealand. It is a monument to the hard working Collie Sheepdog who worked on the farms in the Mackenzie Country. Without the help of these sheepdogs, the grazing of this mountainous country would be impossible to keep intact.
