The Hout Bay Harbour lies picturesquely in a protected bay, surrounded by mountains and the long sandy beach. It is just 20 minutes from the centre of Cape Town, and is a hive of activity as the fishing boats, yachts and charter boats leave and enter the harbour all day. A craft market on the water's edge, African craft shop, restaurants and the seagulls provide further entertainment for visitors and locals alike. Besides, there is boat trips to Seal island, a large seal colony also provide a cherished memento of many a visitor.
