Bubbling Mud Pool, Rotorua, New Zealand

Taken with Canon powershot A75, dated Nov 2004

A pool of boiling mud and looks something like dirty brown porridge boiling on the stove. The heat sends splatters of mud up into the air, it is caused by the underground thermal activity. A perfect opportunity to get some interesting photos at this moment. This can be seen in Maori Arts & Crafts Institute or Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland in New Zealand.

The mud can be produced as beauty care product because it is rich in minerals due to the contact it has had with volcanic gases deep within the earth's surface.
